What Is Ledger Live?


Ledger Live is the official companion app for Ledger’s hardware wallets (Nano S, Nano X, Nano S Plus). It offers a clean dashboard to send, receive, stake, swap crypto, view NFTs, and track your portfolio—all while keeping your private keys offline


🚪 How to Log In


  1. Install Ledger Live on desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) or mobile (iOS/Android) .

  2. Connect your Ledger device via USB (Nano S/Plus) or Bluetooth (Nano X)

  3. Enter your PIN on the hardware wallet to unlock it.

  4. Ledger Live auto-detects your device and logs you into the dashboard—no email or password required


🔐 How to Log Out (or Lock)


Ledger Live doesn’t have a traditional “log out” button—your crypto stays protected because it can’t be moved without the hardware’s PIN 

To lock or protect privacy:

  • Enable Password Lock (Settings → General → Password Lock). Once set, Ledger Live prompts for a password when reopening or manually locking 

  • Use Discreet Mode to hide balances and transaction amounts on-screen 

  • Reset the app (Settings → Help → Reset Ledger Live) or uninstall it to “log out” completely, clearing all local data

  • On shared computers, use separate OS user accounts for isolation
